The BFD Raid is located in Ashenvale, Kalimdor.
Even though we have only few days before the next phase, BFD will probably be a good source of experience to level up after phase 2!
It is a 10 man raid, where you need 2 tanks, 2 healers and 6 dps.
The entrance has a pool that you need to dive in to reach the instance, it has some elite mobs untill you get there.
In the instance, you will need to swim/dive a fair amount. There are some swirls (whirlpools) in the water that if you get next to it, it will throw you away and does a lot of damage.
There is also some bubbles in the water that you can get for a small boost of swim speed.
Always clean the boss room of mobs, before you start the fight.
1.FIRST BOSS: Baron Aquanis
This guy is going to be over a platform and won`t move at all.
Ranged needs to spread and avoid to stand in his hurricane like ability where it rains over your head, doing lots of damage.
Melee need to stand behind and watch out for his ability where he spins around spitting water bubbles, it throws you away.
Everyone needs to watch out for the debuff he randomly puts on someone, called Death Charge, that after 8 seconds throws the player and everyone next to him to a large distance.
To avoid that, the player with the debuff should jump in the water so only him is throw away.
Ranged DPS can still hit the boss while in the water, but in general that player needs to return to the platform to keep in the fight.
2.SECOND BOSS: Ghamoo-ra
Some people likes to tank him in the center of the room, but I think in the middle, next to the water is easier to avoid the water orbs he throws that does a lot of damage and gives mana. So, if you are at 100% hp, can touch it to get some mana back. Beware that it does a lot of damage and knocks back, so it can easily throw you to another orb and kill you.
He starts with a protective shield that makes him immune to all kind of damage. That shield has 100 stacks, each is removed by any application of damage. So, don’t use any special ability or Cooldown while the shield is up because it would just be a waste.
After the 100 stacks expires, it will explode doing a lot of damage to all the raid (huge radius around him).
Healers need to be aware to have everyone topped at 100% hp when hes about to explode.
When the shield fades, you can use all your CDs and potions to kill him as fast as you can.
For tanks, taunt when the other tank gets 2 stacks of sunder armor (debuff).
3.THIRD BOSS: Lady Sarevess
One tank picks Lady Sarevess and the other one will tank her ad.
You need to watch out to the freeze path, where she makes the ground white of ice, that you need to move from it. Tank should bring her out of it, too.
There is also an ability where she throws a spear in a random player, that needs to stay far from the rest of the raid.
Everyone should just dps her down.
4.FOURTH BOSS: Gelihast
He cast a curse that can to be decursed by druids and mages.
After decursed the player is feared and can be dispelled by priests.
Tank should taunt when the other tank gets 2 stacks of Shadow Strike (debuff).
Phase 2: When his hp reaches 0, he becomes immune and summons a lot of murlocs start running in straight direction, doing lots of damage to whoever touches it. Just avoid them.
There is also some purple (shadow) void zones in the ground that you need to move off it.
Phase 3: He will be fully healed back, and the next time his hp is reduced to 0, he will summon tentacles with the murlocs. These tentacles have low hp and can be DPSed down.
If the group is really well geared, can ignore these tentacles.
He will heal to full 2 or 3 times before can be killed.
5.FIFTH BOSS: Lorgus Jett
The raid needs to face waves of murlocs after each waterfall (3), while killing the boss.
Just watch out for the lightning totem and kill it immediately as they appear.
The other totems can be ignored. Just avoid getting hit by the fireball.
AOE them down and kill the boss.
6.SIXTH BOSS: Twilight Lord Kelris
Phase 1: Ranged should stack together and move together when next to the purple shadow zone he places in the ground.
After 8 seconds, he will cast sleep, where the 2 closest players are teleported to the dream realm, in the room filled with mobs. You will need to kill the priests, that can drop a portal you click to return to the boss.
He will cast sleep again and the 2 closest players, that weren’t the other closest ones, will go down to the dream realm.
We can choose who we want to go down, by stacking the 2 players in the boss.
The best pick are players who can easily kill those priests to return as fast as possible.
They have magic resistance, so its not good for casters other than mages.
Players should also try to interrupt his mind blast and chains.
Phase 2: After 35% he becomes immune to interrupts and does way more shadow damage, that’s when people can use another shadow protection potion.
Free action potion can be used to avoid standing on purple zone.
7.SEVENTH BOSS: Aku’mai
He applies a debuff on the tank that can be dispelled bringing him next to one of the 4 elementals in the corner of the area. When the elemental cleanse everything, he will explode in small droplets that the tank needs to tank them and dps to kill them.
Tank better do it at 4 stacks of corrosion.
He casts Corrosive Blast on a random player, spelling gas cloud in a cone in front of him that everyone needs to avoid. You can`t get hit by this thing or you can easily die.
Phase 2: at 50% he becomes shadow, all poison is now shadow, including his Corrosive Blast that everyone needs to dodge.
Now he applies stacks of Shadow Seep, each lowering player hp by 10% and increases shadow damage taken by 25%. Tanks cant have more than 2 stacks or theyre probably going to die.
Instead of bringing him to the elementals, tanks can taunt the boss when the other tank has 3 stacks of corrosive thing.
That’s it.
You should also check out the consumable and add-on threads.
Anything you want to add, feel free to reply. I probably forgot a lot of things.
Thanks!
